Salmon and Sea Trout fishing are available on the lower River Whiteadder.

Gainslawhill fishing is a 1.5 mile single bank beat with access by car (when conditions suitable.) or a easy 5 minute walk from the cottage.

Fishing is available from 1st February but only on Thursday and Friday of each week .

A maximum of two rods per day are allowed, with River Tweed rules applying.

The beat returns around 50 fish annually.

Looking down stream from the tail of Glide through Betty's stream, which can be fished down to Swan island.	Looking downstream from Swan Island through The Narrows into the Tip Stream.
