Salmon and Sea Trout fishing are available on the lower River Whiteadder. 

Gainslawhill fishing is a 1.5 mile single bank beat with access by car (when conditions suitable.) or a easy 5 minute walk from the cottage.

Fishing is available from 1st February but only on Thursday and Friday of each week .

A maximum of two rods per day are allowed, with River Tweed rules applying.

The beat returns around 50 fish annually.
