| Gainslawhill Cottage is situated on our farm, three miles from
Berwick-upon-Tweed.
The farm
is mostly arable, growing wheat and barley, but we have a herd of 40
beef cows with their calves and about 200 sheep.
All 300
acres of the farm lie between the rivers Tweed and
Whiteadder, right on the England /Scotland border on the B6461
road, one mile from the Berwick by-pass.>
There are wonderful views over the Tweed valley to the Cheviot Hills in
the south , the sea to the east and the Eildon Hills to the
west.
The cottage is ideally located for River Tweed fishing andhas fishing on the Whiteadder on the farm
Several
excellent walks, on and off the farm, follow both rivers in each
direction, a 'Farm Walk' allows vistors to completly walk round the farm in about one hour. |
